MOL Croatian unit cuts production in Syria
Croatian oil and gas company INA, a unit of Hungarian peer MOL, on Wednesday said it was stepping down production in Syria because of a ban on imports of Syrian oil to the European Union.
INA said it reduced its average daily hydrocarbon production rate in Syria by 1,500 barrels of oil.
"INA will continue to closely monitor the developments relating to Syria and will provide the public with information on these developments," the company said.
The EU banned the purchase, import and transport of oil and other petroleum products from Syria as well as the provision of financial or insurance services for such transactions at the beginning of September.
