Russiaʼs Metrowagonmash will deliver the second refurbished metro train for Budapestʼs metro line M3 in early November, Daria Marku, head of international relations and marketing at the company refurbishing the trains, told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.

Marku told MTI that the Russian company is currently working on the refurbishment of two trains, each comprising six carriages.

The first train was delivered to Budapest in late May. The second is due to be delivered from Russia to Budapest in early November and a third in the middle of November. Metrowagonmash plans to deliver two refurbished trains per month thereafter.

Budapest transport company BKV and Metrowagonmash signed a EUR 219 million contract on the refurbishment of the 37 trains for the capitalʼs M3 metro line in August 2015.
