Masterplast Sets up JV with Market Épitő

Listed Hungarian building materials maker Masterplast on Friday said it acquired a 50% stake in a joint venture with local construction company Market Épitő, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The JV, called MIP Alapanyaggyártó, was established in the framework of a strategic cooperation agreement the partners signed in December 2022.

A EUR 49 mln mineral wool insulation plant planned in Halmajugra (NE Hungary) could start production in H1 2025.

The plant will have an annual capacity of 35,000 tonnes.
