Magyar Posta, Deutsche Post DHL partner up on packages

Hungary’s state owned postal company Magyar Posta and Deutsche Post DHL have signed a cooperation agreement on package deliveries, the Hungarian firm announced today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

As a result of the deal, Magyar Posta will deliver DHL Parcel Europe packages within Hungary, while outside Hungary Magyar Postaʼs MPL Europe Standard packages will be delivered by DHL Parcel Europe, MTI reported.

According to Magyar Posta chairman-CEO Zoltán Illés, the partnership is justified by the expanding tendency of online shopping.
