Kaposvár municipality chips in to Kométa with HUF 2 bln

The municipality of Kaposvár decided to acquire a stake in troubled meat giant Kométa in the value of HUF 2 billion, city mayor Károly Szita said, quoted by business daily Napi Gazdaság. According to the paper, after reviewing all the relevant documents, the actual deal can be implemented in the early days of February. Kaposvár received a state subsidy in the excess of HUF 3,5 billion earlier in December, partly in order to "save workplaces".
