Ina starts test production of natural gas from field in Syria
Ina, Croatia's largest oil company, said its started test production of natural gas from its Palmyra field in Syria, as part of the planed development of new resources.
Ina Industrija Nafte d.d., based in Zagreb, announced the start of the production through the U.K's Regulatory News Service. „The startup of test production is an important step towards Ina's plans to start up gas production at two wells in the Palmyra field in the near term,” the company said.
Regular production from the wells will start by the end of the year, it said. Ina listed its stock on exchanges in Zagreb and London this month. In 2003, the Croatian government sold 25% plus one share in the oil company to Hungary's Mol Nyrt. (Bloomberg)
