IKEA Hungary turnover climbs more than 23%

IKEA Hungaryʼs net revenues rose 23.3% to HUF 75.5 billion in its business year ending August 31, 2018, the Swedish home furnishings company told state news agency MTI Wednesday.
The number of visitors to the three IKEA stores in Hungary - two in Budapest and one on the outskirts of the capital - rose by 1.1 million to 6.6 mln year-on-year. The number of visitors who made purchases climbed by 600,000 to 3.7 mln.
The average purchase per customer reached HUF 19,045, up from HUF 18,300 in the previous business year.
IKEAʼs online sales generated turnover of HUF 2.5 bln. Online buyers spent on average HUF 124,870, and half took home delivery of their purchases.
IKEA had almost 1,100 people on its payroll in Hungary during the business year ending August 31.
