Hungary industrial property vacancy rate reaches 21.7% in H1
The vacancy rate for industrial property in Hungary reached 21.7% in the first half, well over the 11.8% average for the CEE region, real estate consultant Cushman and Wakefield told MTI.
Take-up on Hungary's industrial and warehouse space market reached 180,000 square metres in H1. Renewals of existing contracts accounted for about half of take-up.
Big investments by German carmakers Daimler, in Kecskemet, and Audi, in Gyor, are supporting demand on markets in the surrounding areas, Cushman and Wakefield said.
