Govt decree freezes HUF 577 bln in residuals to keep budget balance

A government decree published on Monday requires central budget-funded institutions as well as the health and social insurance funds to freeze HUF 577 billion in residuals this year to maintain the balance in the 2011 budget.

The decree, published in official gazette Magyar Közlöny, also freezes another HUF 37.5 billion in spending for this year at central budget-funded institutions.
