The government resolution published in the official gazette Magyar Közlöny shows that net funding of HUF 75.4 billion has been allocated to the purchase of 42 suburban multiple units for MÁV-START and HUF 10.8 billion for the 6 regional multiple units to be purchased for GYSEV. MÁV-START issued the tender in November. The European Union and Hungary's government will provide funding for the acquisition of the multiple units. The deadline for submitting applications in the tender was January 3, 2012. The tender calls for the trains to be delivered by September 30, 2015.
