Deals

Goodman Group announced developmental plans in the CEE region yesterday at a press conference. Goodman is an integrated property group that owns, develops and manages industrial and business space globally.

The group invests in business parks, office parks, industrial estates and warehouse and distribution centers. They also offer a range of listed and unlisted property funds. With total assets of €21.3 billion and over 650 properties under management, Goodman Group one of the world’s largest listed property groups. It has 37 branch-offices in 18 countries, employing more than 1300 people.

Due to the dynamic economic growth, growing consumer spending and developing industrial activities, the region holds the potential for the company to expand further. The region is also perfect for the company to expand as demand for high-quality warehouses far outpaces supply, workforce is competitive too, and legal regulations are transparent.

Geographical location also provides advantages for the company. Because of its strategic position and logistical opportunities, Budapest will be the center of the property developments in the region. The company is currently developing a warehouse of 22,000 square meter sat Gyál, which will be lent in 1Q of 2009. They also bought 64,000 square meter site at Kecskemét to construct a built-to suit warehouse on 10,000 square meter. (Napi Gazdaság, Hungary)
