Hungary’s E-Star Alternatív on Tuesday said former New York governor George Pataki and  Csaba Lantos, chairman of clearing house Keler, were appointed to the energy saving company’s board.

E-Star chairman Csaba Soós said the board needed experienced, influential, internationally known members that can actively participate in supporting the company’s strategy.

Pataki runs his own energy and environmental consulting company.

Lantos was earlier head of CA-IB Securities and deputy-CEO of OTP Bank.

The two men’s mandates are for five years.
