GE Healthcare launches HUF 200 R+D project near Budapest
GE Healthcare has launched a HUF 198 million project involving heart arrhythmia at its research and development base in Budaors, on the outskirts of Budapest, GE Hungary's Healthcare division told MTI on Friday.
GE Hungary won HUF 88 million from the Central Hungary Operative Programme, in the framework of the European Union and European Regional Development Fund.
GE Hungary is cooperating with the Szeged University of Science on the project, which involves a cost-efficient catheterization solution for sufferers of heart arrhythmia.
GE Healthcare employs 520 people in Hungary. About 180 engineers work at the R+D centre in Budaors.
