Former Malév staff to get HUF 2.2 bln in back pay
Former staff of the discontinued Hungarian carrier Malév is expected to be given approximately one-third of their back pay this month, almost three years after the airline went bust, Hungarian business daily Világgazdaság reported today.
According to the plans, more than 900 people of the former staff would receive a combined gross HUF 2.2 bln. Including earlier payouts from the Wage Guarantee Fund, the staff is getting about half of what they are owed, former Malév HR director József Király told the paper.
