Farming Ministry to provide EU-funded grants to upgrade wine-production plants

The ministry of rural development VM is to offer grants worth a combined €4 million in the year 2011-2012 to help modernise wine-production plants in Hungary, the ministry said on Thursday.
The grants, to be made available in the autumn to small- and medium-sized businesses, can cover 40% of the value of the equipment purchases as opposed to the earlier 30%, while this ratio will be 20% in the case of large companies.
Applications can be submitted between October 17, 2011 and December 16, 2011 to the office for agricultural and rural development MVH.
The amount claimed must be between HUF 1million and HUF 100 million.
