Drug price bidding makes good
Due to new regulations that came into force on June 27, competitive bidding is likely to push down drug prices, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on the National Health Fund (OEP).
Some 450 products will be cheaper by an average 25% from October, Napi said.
Some medicines of great social importance, including drugs reducing high blood pressure or cholesterol level, will be available for HUF 1,000 less.
Patients will have to review their medicinal expenditure and look for the cheaper products themselves, Napi added, quoting the OEP.
