Declaration of Commercial Discovery submitted for MOL block in Iraq

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL on Friday said a Declaration of Commercial Discovery was submitted for the Shaikan Block, in which it has a stake, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The declaration, with effect from August 1, 2012, was submitted to the Shaikan Block Management Committee. A Field Development Plan is to be turned in to the committee within 180 days of the submission. MOL's unit Kalegran has a production sharing contract for the block with its operator Gulf Keystone Petroleum International.
