Danube port undergoes HUF 895 mln of improvements

Port Danube is investing HUF 895 mln on improvements at its freight port on the Danube, in Komárom (northwest Hungary), a company representative told Hungarian news agency MTI.

Port Danube is building an embankment wall as well as resurfacing its container terminal, putting in new lighting and installing a vehicle guidance system, said Krisztina Hendrik. Port Danube won a HUF 761 mln European Union and state grant for the project which will be inaugurated by September 2015.
