Competition authorities in the region have signed a cooperation agreement in Warsaw, Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The agreement was signed by GVH's peers in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

The cooperation aims to support more effective responses to economic challenges, including tools authorities may use to bring down inflation.

It involves the creation of a platform for sharing experiences and best practices. The authorities will set up joint working groups and training programs in the future, while their executives will meet once a year to discuss common policy goals.
