Competition Office fines SPAR on charge of misleading consumers
Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) on Thursday said it fined supermarket company SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi HUF 43 mln for misleading advertising, Hungarian news agency MTI.
GVH said that SPAR had failed to sufficiently inform customers of the conditions of a campaign that promised "HUF 500 back for every HUF 5,000 spent".
Spar said late yesterday that it disagreed with the GVH resolution and initiated its review by the court.
