Codecool to Merge With Polish Peer

Hungarian coding school Codecool said on Tuesday that it is merging its business with its Polish peer Software Development Academy (SDA), according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The digital skills training company created after the merger will operate in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Austria, Slovakia, Czechia, Estonia, and Albania serving nearly 400 companies and handling 15,000-20,000 private clients.
The combined company will have 300 employees, 1,600 mentors and will offer 17 digital retraining courses.
Codecool and SDA will retain their own brands on their respective domestic markets.
During the last business year Codecool's Hungarian unit had a HUF 2.4 billion revenue and the group consolidated revenue was EUR 7.8 million. SDA had a consolidated revenue of EUR 6.7 mln in 2021.
Codecool expects its revenue to rise to EUR 10 mln this year and SDA expects to have a similar amount.
