Budapest Bank fits into the strategic objectives of owner GE Capital as a result of the bank's strong market position, rising corporate business-segment and profitable operations, Budapest Bank told MTI on Thursday. CEO Jeff Immelt of US multinational conglomerate General Electric, which operates GE capital as the company's financial-services unit, told the Wall Street Journal on Thursday that the company is thinking seriously of selling of some of the unit's non-core businesses.
