Retail sales are expected to grow by 5-6% in December as compared to the same period a year earlier, amounting to approximately HUF 940-950 billion, the National Commerce Association (OKSZ) said today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Last year, retail sales saw a year-on-year rise of 6% in December, MTI noted. The association expects the Christmas shopping rush, reaching its peak between December 12-20 when 70-80% of households do their shopping, to lift the figure, MTI reported.
