ÁPV gets four offers for Malév

Four bidders have submitted offers in the privatization of Hungarian national airline Malév Zrt, the State Privatization and Holding (ÁPV) Zrt announced on Friday.

The bidders are AirBridge Magyarország Zrt, which is controlled by Boris Abramovich, the owner of Russian airline KrassAir; LAL investiciju valdymas, a group of Lithuanian investors; the businessman Ofer Hava backed by a group of Hungarian and Irish investors; and Sky Alliance Zrt, a company set up by former and current Malév pilots.
ÁPV said earlier Malév's new owner should have enough capital to ensure the airline's profitable operation, preserve its role as Hungary's national airline and continue the process of joining the oneworld alliance of airlines.
