Deloitte opens new office in Debrecen

Deloitte professional services network company opened a new office in Debrecen to provide audit, tax, consulting, enterprise risk and financial advisory services, much like the Budapest office, the company announced in a press release today.
"The decision by Deloitte not only boosts Debrecenʼs reputation but also helps the cityʼs economic competitiveness. The new development is in line with our fifteen-year goal to provide an alternative choice for investors aside from Budapest," said Dr. László Papp Mayor of Debrecen. According to Papp, the city of Debrecen has developed a diversified economy: the agriculture, information technology and pharmaceutical industries have set up competitive businesses there.
“Our company would like to move closer to new markets and customers,” said Gábor Gion, partner at Deloitte Central Europe.
The report noted that Péter Kurunczi will be responsible for the operational activities in Deloitteʼs Debrecen office.
