VW group brand dealer P'-Autocity (Autocity) inaugurated a close to HUF 800 million investment in Pécs on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Autocity added a 1,377 sqm body and repair shop, supported by more than HUF 200 mln in grant money for boosting competitiveness from the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA), CEO Mihály Liszácz said. Body shop capacity has tripled and repair shop capacity will soon double as a result, he added.

Autocity had net revenue of HUF 8.3 bln last year, public records show.

Liszácz told MTI this year's performance isn't expected to be much better than last year's as many vehicles its partners have ordered can only be delivered in 2022 because of delays caused by automotive industry supply chain interruptions.
