Used Car Imports Fall Under 10,000 in Aug

The number of used cars imported to Hungary dropped 11% year-on-year to 9,701 in August, listings site JoAutok.hu said on Monday, citing figures compiled by Datahouse.
The number of imported used cars started dropping from June, but is still up close to 5% in the year to date, JoAutok.hu said.
JoAutok.hu CEO Bertalan Halász said uncertainty concerning the future of motor fuel price caps as well as the impact of restrictions on regulated utility prices is weighing on the market.
He also acknowledged the effect of higher credit costs and the weaker forint.
