Ukraine Crisis: War could further affect domestic car production
The car industry has not recovered from the effects of the epidemic but already has another difficulty, as the Russian-Ukrainian war will most likely affect Hungarian car production, Csaba Kilián, the executive secretary of the Hungarian Automotive Industry Association, told business daily Világgazdaság.
He said the effects of the war could be felt for the first time in logistics and the supply of raw materials, but this largely depends on where a company procures raw materials and parts.
Companies in the sector with Ukrainian suppliers already perceive the problem; some have been out of contact with the partner company for days.
