Toyota Takes 11.7% Market Share in Hungary

Toyota brand dealerships sold 15,102 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Hungary last year, giving the Japanese car maker 11.7% market share, Toyota Central Europe country director Richard László said at a press conference on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

 

Excluding re-exports, Toyota sales came to 14,810, giving the brand 14.4% market share. 

László noted that new car and LCV sales in Hungary fell 11% to 129,916 last year, citing figures compiled by Datahouse.

This year, Toyota expects to sell 15,100 cars and LCVs in Hungary, he said.
