Rába Nyrt, a Hungarian maker of vehicle parts and military trucks, received a €1 million order for axles from a Russian client. Győr, Hungary-based Rába will sell the axles this year to GAZ Group's Pavlovo Bus Plant, the company said in an e-mailed statement today. The order will help the Hungarian company almost double its Russian sales to €20 million this year from €11 million in 2005, according to the press release. Győr, western Hungary-based Rába, which supplies buyers including ArvinMeritor Inc., is focusing sales efforts on the former Soviet Union and other European countries after a decline in U.S. demand led to losses in three of the past four years.
