Q2 Vehicle Insurance Premiums Average HUF 52,083

Hungarian motorists paid HUF 52,083 for their annual compulsory vehicle insurance premiums, on average, in the second quarter, 12% more than in the same period a year earlier, according to a report published by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB).
Motorists in Budapest paid higher premiums: an average HUF 75,688.
The average premium for individual policies covering taxis rose 8% to HUF 142,529, while the premium for trucks rose 9% to HUF 91,929. The average premium for fleet passenger autos increased by 25% to HUF 74,802.
There were 4,089,488 compulsory vehicle insurance policies in Hungary during the period.
The MNB noted that payouts on mandatory vehicle insurance policy claims increased by 10%.
