New passenger car registrations up 12.6% in February
New passenger car registrations increased 12.6% to 11,227 in Hungary in February from a year earlier, according to a report published on carinfo.hu, cited by state news agency MTI.
In the passenger car segment, Suzuki was the most popular brand in Hungary, with 1,679 vehicles sold and a market share of just below 15%. Ford sold 1,109 cars, Skoda 1,019, Opel 974, and Volkswagen 776.
New light commercial vehicle registrations rose 21.9% to 2,002. Ford sold the most LCVs and had a market share of almost 34%.
Sales of new motorcycles were up 110.7% at 257. Honda was the most popular brand, controlling about 33% of the market, carinfo.hu said.
