Mercedes-Benz Hungary Unit Turnover Climbs to EUR 4 bln in 2022

Revenue of German car maker Mercedes-Benz's local unit rose to EUR 4 billion last year from EUR 3.1 bln in 2021, state news wire MTI reports, citing an annual report released by Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary.
Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary's after-tax profit climbed to EUR 92 million from EUR 68 mln during the period.
Positive changes were supported by increased vehicle output and higher margins.
The plant turned out over 152,000 vehicles last year, including A-class, CLA, and CLA Shooting Brake, Mercedes-AMG Performance, and Mercedes-Benz EQB models. The number of fully-electric EQB models "rose significantly".
In 2021, Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary produced over 135,000 cars.
The headcount at the company averaged 4,543 last year.
