May industrial output up preliminary 7.4% yr/yr
Hungary's industrial output was up 7.4% in the twelve months from May 2005 according to workday-adjusted preliminary figures, and rose 1.2% in May from April according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Thursday.
Unadjusted output in May was up 10% year-on-year. Industrial output rose by 10.3% year-on-year in the first five months of 2006. In April, output rose 6.8% year-on-year according to workday adjusted figures, and was down 0.4% from March, according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures. Unadjusted output in April rose 1.8% year-on-year. Hungary's industrial output in 2005 rose 7.3% and was up 7.4% in 2004. KSH will publish revised and detailed figures for May industrial output on July 14.
