Maxon Motor to set up €2 mln unit in Hungary
The world's leading supplier of high-precision drive systems, Maxon Motor, is to build a new 3,000 square meter production facility in Veszprém, investing around €2 million in the project.
The Hungarian unit of the world's leading supplier of high-precision drive systems, Maxon Motor AG, is to build a new 3,000-square-metre production facility in Veszprém, western Hungary, investing around €2 million in the project. The new unit is to be inaugurated on 15 September 2007, Maxon Motor Hungary Kft chief executive Attila Szalai told business daily Világgazdaság on Tuesday. The plant will be running at full steam by 2010 or 2011, he said, adding that at top capacity the company will employ 350 people, more than double of its current 160-strong workforce.
Maxon Motor is a Swiss company headquartered in Sachseln (canton of Obwalden) that employs over 1,500 staff worldwide. Its sales companies based in 30 countries provide a locally-based and competent customer service. Maxon Motor has production sites at its head office in Switzerland as well as in Germany and Hungary. It produces 4 million units in around 12,000 variations a year and exports around 80% of is products to 55 countries. (portfolio.hu)
