MÁV to announce shortlisted bidders in vehicle financing tender January 6

State-owned Hungarian railway company MÁV Rt said on Tuesday it will announce on January 6 bidders shortlisted in a tender to provide it with a €144.6 million loan to finance vehicles purchases from Switzerland's Stadler. MÁV agreed to buy 30 suburban rail vehicles from Stadler Bussnag with an option for a further 30 vehicles. MÁV received eight bids involving 14 banks for the first round. The deadline for bidders to submit their final offers will be the end of January, and MAV expects to sign the loan contract by the end of February.
