MÁV-Tiszavas receives €9 mln order

Wagon manufacturer MÁV-Tiszavas Kft has received a €9 million order from Austrian train company ÖBB, logistics manager Lajos Bene told business daily Világgazdaság.

After the successful EU tender which was called for the 150+150 new log carrier wagons, the company has beaten well-known German, Slovakian, Czech, and Polish applicants. It has already produced 415 compartments for its major client MÁV Zrt and has exported 99 of those to England.
Production will start in the end of 2006 and is expected to finish by the end of 2008.
