KSH: Industrial output grows by 4.6% in December

Output of Hungary's industrial sector grew by a year-on-year 4.6% in December according to workday-adjusted figures, however, it slowed from November’s 5.8%, Central Statistics Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data today. Industrial output was up by 7.6% for the whole year.
Output fell by a month-on-month 1.7% in December according to both seasonally- and workday-adjusted data.
KSH head of department Miklós Schindele said that vehicle manufacturing output growth was lower in December than in previous months and that the output in the sector rose by approximately 10% as compared to approximately 20% in earlier months.
