KSH: Hungary’s industrial output slows to 1.5% in May

Industrial output in Hungary saw a year-on-year rise of 1.5% in May, slowing from the previous month’s 6.3% increase, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data today.

In workday adjusted terms industrial output grew by a year-on-year 6.2% in May, slowing from the previous month’s 6.3%.

Nevertheless, the figure saw an increase of 6.3% in the first five months of this year as compared to the same period of 2014. The volume of industrial production in May – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was below the level of the previous month by 0.2%.
