KSH: Hungarian industrial output climbs 12.3%

Output of Hungary's industrial sector rose 12.3% in July year-on-year, according to both raw and workday-adjusted data, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) revealed today.
Seasonally and workday-adjusted output grew 1.6% compared with the previous month. Industrial output was up 9.8% in H1 year-on-year.
KSH official Ildikó Mikó noted the increase was the highest since February 2011 and said the vehicle manufacturing segment continued to play a key part in the positive output growth figure. KSH is scheduled to publish a second reading of the data on September 12.
