Kravtex unveils new bus with just 15% import content
Hungarian bus maker Kravtex on Monday presented a new vehicle with just 15% import content.
Nearly all of the Kravtex Credo Econell 12’s main parts are Hungarian-made, with the exception of the engine, said managing director Istvan Krankovics.
The twelve-metre suburban bus can carry 90 passengers, thanks in part to a repositioning of the fuel tank. It can save operators as much as HUF 1m a year on fuel costs compared to older buses.
The model, developed by a team of 40 Hungarian engineers in twelve months, is the Kravtex group’s 24th vehicle type.
Kravtex expects to sell about 80 vehicles this year, Mr Krankovics told MTI. Revenue is set to fall by 8% to around HUF 7bn, he added.
