Knorr-Bremse Hungary registers rise in demand for commercial-vehicle braking systems

Knorr-Bremse Kft has recorded a rise in demand for its truck and bus braking systems this year, business daily Világgazdaság said on Friday.
In the first eight months of 2011, the output of the European commercial-vehicle sector regained its pre-crisis level, resulting in increased orders for braking systems for commercial vehicles such as those Knorr-Bremse manufactures at its plant in Kecskemet(C Hungary). The company has even introduced weekend work shifts at certain units to satisfy the increase in demand for the braking systems.
Knorr-Bremse had revenue of HUF 35bn in 2010, up almost 50%, with profits amounting to HUF 1.4bn after sustaining losses the previous year.
