Automotive

Motor home maker Knaus Tabbert will invest €900,000 at its base in Nagyoroszi, north of Budapest, by the end of summer, business daily Világgazdaság reported on Monday.

Knaus Tabbert managing director József Botka said the company had asked Dutch investment group HTP, which rescued it during the crisis, for resources to boost production from an annual 1,000 to 2,200.

The company turned out 970 camping buses last year, well over the targeted 800.

Knaus Tabbert has about 300 workers, including contracted laborers. About 40 are Slovak citizens.
