Industrial output up 9.8% yr/yr in October

Hungary's industrial output rose by a seasonally and working day-adjusted terms 1.8% in October from September and was up 9.8% from October 2004 according to working-day adjusted and unadjusted figures, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Thursday. Industrial output in the first ten months of 2005 was up 7.2% from the same period last year. According to seasonally and working day-adjusted figures, industrial export sales rose 0.5% from September to October and were up a working-day adjusted 11.3% year-on-year.
Domestic sales volume rose 1.5% in a month and was up 7.7% in the twelve months to October, the adjusted figures show. On an unadjusted basis, industrial exports rose 11.3% year-on-year in October and ten-month exports were up 11%. Domestic sales were up an unadjusted 7.6% in the twelve months to October and were up 4.4% year-on-year in the first ten months. Hungary's industrial output rose 7.4% in 2004. Industrial export sales rose 14.7% and domestic sales fell 0.95% in volume terms in 2004.
