Industrial output drops 3.7% in September

The volume of industrial production in Hungary was down 3.7% in September compared to the corresponding month of 2015, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced today in a first reading of data. The index adjusted for working days was equal to the non-adjusted index.
The volume of industrial production in September also dropped from the previous month, by 3% compared to the level measured in August, the KSH reported, according to seasonally and working day-adjusted indices.
However, in the January-September period, the volume of industrial production was up 1.5% compared to the first nine months of the previous year, the KSH added.
