The Hungarian Association of Vehicle Importers (MGE) projects new passenger auto registrations will edge up to 125,000 this year from around 122,000 in 2021, according to autoszektor.hu.
MGE said the projection assumes deliveries of semiconductors and other parts in short supply will not "normalize" until the second half of the year "at the earliest."
MGE expects registrations of fully electric vehicles to climb to 5,000 this year from 4,312 in 2021.
It projects sales of light commercial vehicles will inch up to 24,000 from 23,000, while heavy commercial vehicle sales will climb to 9,000 from 4,518.
Motorcycle sales are set to increase to 4,800 from 4,600.
