Hungary Wants Leading Role in Vehicle R&D

Automotive

Hungary wants to play a leading role in areas that will establish the future of the vehicle industry, individually in the field of autonomous vehicles and alongside Germany in battery production, Parliamentary State Secretary Zsófia Koncz said on the fourth innovation day at the ZalaZONE Automotive Test Track, according to profitline.hu.

This year, the innovation day mainly presented the research results of the civilian and military use of drones.

At the event in Zalaegerszeg (215 km southeast of Budapest), the state secretary emphasized that since 2010, the Hungarian government has given special support to research and development, innovation, and investments that create marketable products and services based on Hungarian ideas.

From the beginning, the goal was "to make the industry high-tech, green and Hungarian," Koncz said.
