Hungary's October industrial output up preliminary 10.6% yr/yr

Hungary's industrial output rose 0.7% in October from September in volume terms according to seasonally- and working day-adjusted figures and was up 10.6% in the twelve months from October 2005 according to both unadjusted and working-day adjusted figures, preliminary figures published by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Thursday show.

Output rose by 10.2% year on year in the first ten months of 2006. Industrial output volume increased a working day-adjusted 11.8% or an unadjusted 9.2% in the twelve months to September. September output was up 3.3% from August, according to seasonally- and working day-adjusted figures. Hungary's industrial output rose 7.3% last year and was up 7.4% in 2004. KSH will publish revised and detailed figures for September industrial output on December 15. (Mti-Eco)
