Hungary lifts weekend lorry ban due to heat wave

Hungary will lift a ban on lorries this weekend because of a heat wave that could pose a risk to truckersʼ health, the National Development Ministry said today.
Under normal circumstances, vehicles over 7.5 tons would be banned from Hungaryʼs roads from 3:00 PM on Saturday to 10pm on Sunday.
Hungaryʼs chief doctor has issued a third-degree heat alert in effect until midnight on July 26.
