Hungarian Tire Market Recovered Last Year

Despite changing circumstances and inflation, the Hungarian tire market was able to strengthen last year, as sales indicators reached pre-coronavirus levels, writes profitline.hu.
According to data for 2022 published by ETRMA (European Tire Manufacturers Association), an organization consisting of the largest tire manufacturers, including Bridgestone, the market demand for passenger car tires in Hungary reached almost the same level as in 2019.
The sales figures increased in the first half of last year, while the association reported declining demand in the second half.
Broken down by category, four-season tires achieved the most dynamic growth in 2022, which rose to 19% due to the change in the sales ratio of summer and winter tires.
From the point of view of sales, the number of four-season sales also increased the most, by nearly 11% compared to last year, while summer sales remained stable at 1%, and sales of winter tires showed a 5% decrease.
